5. Plant and Harvest
In your garden, plant your sweet potato slips where it can receive a lot of sunshine. Plant your slips to about 10 inches apart and at least half of your slip should be under the soil. The soil where you will be planting your sweet potato must already contain the needed compost and aged manure before planting your slips. Make sure that you plant your sweet potato where there is plenty of space for its vines to spread. After planting, apply fertilizer and mulch then water your plants.
In about 4-5 months, your sweet potatoes will now be ready for harvest.
